Iona Canham makes a lovely speech & presents Connie Ratcliffe with the junior trophy for her winning honey buns at July’s Nairn Show. I help hold trophy as the large heavy bee is not attached to the base. Connie is thrilled to bits. She would like to stay for the meeting afterwards and hear about plants for bees, but, alas, it’s bedtime soon.

I just love the look on Connie’s face and of course I just love that bee!
Thank you for responding, Charlie. The wonderful thing about this is that Connie first learned about bees from the headmistress at her primary school. Her interest was piqued last year when she was 6 and wrote asking to visit my bees. Connie now tells the other children about bees at morning assembly, and it appears that there is quite an interest at Cawdor school around bees.

Isn’t that amazing! Well done Connie and well done Ann for inspiring her.
Thanks for the encouragement, Susan.
Charlie said well done Connie and that you are doing a wonderful job sharing your knowledge with another generation
